Who Is Our New Dentist?

This month we have welcomed a fifth dentist to the team, Paul.

Paul graduated from the University of Bristol in 2013 where he was awarded the Commendation prize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was then accepted onto Dental Foundation (DF1) training in Oxford having been ranked 4th in the country for DF1 National Recruitment. Following on from this, Paul gained further experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in roles at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and King’s College Hospital, London.

Paul has committed himself to postgraduate development and has completed his diploma for the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Furthermore, he has completed a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Dental Implantology at the University of Bristol. Paul has also undergone training to be able to provide sedation for anxious patients.

Paul is currently enrolled on an exciting programme of postgraduate training at the world-renowned Kois Center in Seattle, USA. This programme aims to teach predictable, evidence-based systems to help treat patients with complex dental needs.

Paul has participated in numerous research and audit projects and has presented work at national and international conferences including for the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Melbourne, Australia. He is also a member of a primary care research group through the National Institute for Health Research.

Outside of dentistry, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen marathon swimmer. He has swam the length of Windermere and is booked to swim the English Channel in 2024!
