At Moody Terrace Dental Practice, we want your first experience with us to feel welcoming, reassuring and personalised from the moment you make an enquiry.

Earlier this year, we introduced our “New Patient Journey” to make the process of joining the practice as clear and comfortable as possible. New patients are first welcomed by our Treatment Co-ordinator, Lauren, for a face-to-face, non-clinical consultation. This has been very popular with our new patients.

After reviewing the new patient journey over the past six months, we have made a small change to the way these appointments are booked.

Introducing a £50 reservation deposit

Our initial New Patient Consultation with our Treatment Co-Ordinator has previously been offered free of charge. Going forward, we will be introducing a £50 reservation deposit when you book your appointment.

This is not an additional cost for your dental care. The £50 will be put in credit towards your appointment with the dentist.

Why are we making this change?

We have introduced the reservation deposit to help us make the best possible use of the appointments available for new patients.

Over the past six months, we have had some appointments where patients did not attend. When an appointment is missed, that time cannot easily be offered to another patient who may be actively looking for a new dentist.

The reservation deposit helps us ensure that these valuable appointment spaces are reserved for patients who are genuinely looking to begin their journey with us.

We know that choosing a new dentist is an important decision, particularly if you have had a difficult dental experience in the past.

Our aim with the New Patient Journey has always been to give you time to ask questions, understand your options and meet our team before entering a clinical setting.

The introduction of a reservation deposit allows us to continue offering this dedicated time while helping us ensure that appointments are available for patients who genuinely need them.
